Paulin watches

Disclaimer: This is not paid review but a personal one.

I got myself a Paulin watch a number of months ago before I left for my round the world trip. I needed a watch that looks both smart and functional during my travels and I started looking on the internet for various different options and I came across Paulin watches.

I myself reside in Glasgow and it was a pleasant surprise to find a watch maker from Glasgow. I've always try to support small retailers especially those from Glasgow or Scotland as I feel that by supporting local businesses, I actually playing a small part to keep independent retailers going. Instead of just purchasing the watch online, I decided to visit Paulin watches at the Trongate within Glasgow City Centre to see what is on offer and the different options that are available. There were a variety of options but decided to get myself a black faced chronograph with a yellow second hand as I felt the yellow made the watch stand out. The watch actually comes with a black leather strap but I felt that black strap made the watch too formal and I wanted a smart watch that was useable in a causal setting. I must say that staff at Paulin watches were excellent and were very accommodating and more than willing to let me pick a watch strap that was more suited to my needs. I picked a tan leather strap as I felt that it gave the watch a more causal look. After wearing the watch for months, the watch has really grown on me and I have got numerous compliments about the style of the watch during my travels and people who have noticed my watch were asking where I purchased the watch from. I was really proud to inform people that the watch was made in my hometown of Glasgow and some were pretty surprised. In my opinion, the only thing I would change and it was no fault of Paulin watch is to have a bigger face for the watch as the watch is slightly small for my wrist.

If you want to get a watch that is smart, functional and reasonably priced, do check out Paulin Watch and visit their website to explore their whole collection and help to support a Glasgow business.
